I hate to say it (and it is just my opinion), but the movie was absolutely terrible, including the soundtrack. Not John Williams’ finest moment. Not by a long shot. raspberry

I’ve not seen it, nor do I intend to go to a theatre for it. Maybe in a year or so on TV but that’s it. The Disney Anything For A Buck Machine has made me very skeptical of their films. They have developed a history of putting more effort into hyping their product than into making quality films. Frozen was hyped to the stars and when I finally saw it, it was a typical formulaic Disney Princess Movie.

Two things:

1) the soundtrack was recorded in Los Angeles (not London) and the playing is brilliant - it’s a more direct sound than the LSO, but I like it (less roomy = more clarity) - the new themes aren’t as memorable as some of the themes (Across the Stars and Duel of the Fates come to mind) in the prequel trilogy, but worth listening to IMHO…

2) It’s not perfect, but waaaayyy better than Episodes 1-3
