The movie starts Michael Fassbender as Apple co-founder Steve Jobs and paints a portrait of who he was from the time of the original Macintosh release up through the introduction of the iMac. It's not a documentary, but instead is a drama showing an impression of who he was.

Steve Jobs (the movie) was controversial in part because friends and coworkers from later in his life said it portrayed Mr. Jobs negatively, and that it doesn't show the man they knew. Steve Wozniak, however, said the movie did a great job of capturing the essence of who Steve Jobs was and what it was like to work with him during that time period.

The movie also stars Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen, Katherine Waterston, and Jeff Daniels.

If you'd rather have a digital version of the movie, you won't have to wait as long. Universal Pictures said it's releasing the Digital HD version on February 2nd.
