The Woz Injures Foot, To Continue on Dancing With Stars Anyway

Apple cofounder Steve Wozniak injured his foot in the course of his training for Dancing with the Stars, but has said he will continue to compete on the show anyway. Despite being warned by doctors to take it easy, The Woz has said that his next routine on the dance competition show will be, "wild and fast, and all-over and crazy and fun, just like the first one."

The San Jose Mercury News reported that the tech idol fractured his foot, but ABC also confirmed that he will be appearing in the next episode of the show.

Mr. Wozniak and his dancing partner, Karina Smirnoff, scored a 13 out of 30 points from the judges in his first episode of the show, but a blog post at Woz.org made a spirited argument that the judges were not aligned with fan and audience reaction to his first dance.

"Tonight the judges were not in tune with what the public likes," he wrote. "The live audience applauded a judge's comment that what my partner and I did was what the show was about. The press people that we talked with for an hour or so afterwards all told me that they cheered our dance, from their quarters. The dancers gave total support and indicated that we did great after our post-interview, and they did so for none of the other dances."

He added, "I have hundreds of e-mails saying the same sort of thing, that people loved our dance."

In his letter he included a call to his fans to make their voices heard in the voting.

The next episode will air Monday at 8:00 PM (7:00 PM Central) on ABC.
