Virtual Programming Asks Mac Gamers What They Want, Ships New Port of X3: R

Our friends at Virtual Programming have posted an online survey asking Mac gamers what kind of games they would like to see the company develop and publish. Virtual Programming also shipped the new version of X3: Reunion that we mentioned on June 18th.

It’s not often that we Mac gamers get the opportunity to influence the direction of a game publisher, so we’d like to encourage our readers to participate in the survey.

The company’s categories:

  • Action
  • Action Puzzle
  • Adventure
  • Arcade/Shooter
  • Educational/Edutainment
  • First-Person Shooter
  • Massively Multiplayer Online
  • Puzzle/Card/Casino
  • Role-Playing Game
  • Simulation (tycoon games as well as flight sims, etc.)
  • Sports
  • Strategy (real-time or turn-based)
  • Other (please specify)

You can fill out the survey at the SurveyMonkey service.

The new version of X3: Reunion is a native Mac rewrite of the game, and it replaces the Cider port Virtual Programming first released. Customers who bought the original version can download the new release for free, and all new purchases of the game will be of the new native version.
