WiFind: A Better AirPort Menu

Iive mentioned before that Appleis AirPort menu item is a little lacking in the information it provides. Thanks to the clever Mac developer community, there are plenty of alternatives, and one that caught my fancy is WiFind from Tasty Apps.

WiFind adds some useful information to the AirPort menu including signal strength for the networks in range of your Mac, whether or not those networks are password protected, and what channel the networks are transmitting on.

WiFind gives you the AirPort menu Apple should have made.

You donit need to have any extra applications running to use WiFind, and it doesnit add items to your menu bar - a nice bonus if your menu bar is already crowded with other items.

WiFind costs US$8, and you can download it at the Tasty Apps Web site.
