XtremeMac Unveils Light Weight iPhone Battery Case at CES

LAS VEGAS -- XtremeMac unveiled its new InCharge Mobile rechargeable iPhone battery pack during CES. The battery pack fits the iPhone 3G and 3GS, and also acts as a protective case.

The InCharge Mobile is surprisingly light weight. So light, in fact, that at first we thought the demo model at the XtremeMac booth was just a mock up.

"It really is that thin and light," said Katie McCormick, XtremeMac's marketing manager. "It'll be out this spring, and we're really excited."

The case's built-in rechargeable 1200mAh battery is slim enough that it adds very little bulk to your iPhone, and adds up to four additional hours of talk time. It also includes a thinner case piece that doesn't include a battery for iPhone protection when you don't need extra run time.

The InCharge Mobile includes a wrap-around top piece so your iPhone is fully locked into the case, charge level indicator lights, a pass through USB port for charging and syncing, and a USB cable.

XtremeMac plans to sell the InCharge Mobile for US$79.99, and it should be in stores some time in March.
