LAS VEGAS - Prism Designs was showing a product called Base during Showstoppers at CES, and it's exactly what the doctor ordered for Apple Pencil. It's an elegant charging dock for Apple Pencil that also serves as a stand. It features two holes, one with a Lightning connector for charging, while the second will hold Apple Pencil point down. When you uncap Apple Pencil to charge it, that second hole also holds the cap so you don't lose it. It's small, but hefty so it won't move, and the bottom of the prototype we saw was cork. The company hasn't announced pricing or availability, but we were told it would be on the market soon. We'll be reviewing it once it ships.
