Doctor Who Google Doodle: It’s 8-bit and it’s a Game

| Cool Stuff Found

Google is paying tribute to the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who with a special Google Doodle that includes a fun little 8-bit game featuring all 11 of the Doctors. Yes, we know 12 has been announced, and 8.5 will be in the anniversary episode that airs this Saturday, so not all of the Doctors are in the game. And the Doctor from the 1960's Dalek movies isn't there, either, but why nitpick? The real point is that the doodle is starting to show up in the Google home page around the world and it has a game, that for Google, is pretty elaborate. We found the doodle at Google's New Zealand page, but it may already be in your area, too.

Peter Cushing, who play Doctor Who in the movies, is not a time lord, just a regular chap who is an inventor (he invented TARDIS) and as such is not counted as one of the Doctor’s.

Which is a bit of a shame really, because he was one of Britain’s finest actors.

Haha. It’s a really cool game too. It’s like a ZX Spectrum game without the color clash :-D

Fun! Although on the last level, I burned through more Doctors than the “Curse of Fatal Death” spoof episode.

A must see…

... if you haven’t seen it already, that is!
