Plants vs. Zombies 2 for iPhone, iPad Lumbers into the US

| Cool Stuff Found

Plants vs. Zombies 2, the follow up to the wildly popular zombie fighting game, made its way onto Apple's App Store on Thursday. Like the original, players use special plants to attack the advancing zombies, but version 2 moves beyond your own yard to travel through time and and introduces several new zombie types -- including chickens. It also includes several new plants to help defend your yard, new power-up options, unlockable unending levels, and more. Plants vs. Zombies 2 for the iPhone and iPad is free and Pop Cap says you don't need any of the in-app purchases to complete the game.

The game is probably cool, but I wouldn’t give these douche bags another penny if all their lives depended on it. I bought the original PvZ game way back for my kids on the Mac and they loved it. Upgrading the Mac OS from Snow Leopard to Lion broke the game. I wrote to popcap since their website is woefully inadequate for support and updates. They wrote back and stated they had an updated version, and I could get it from them if I sent them the codes off the retail box. Really? Who keeps the boxes that SW comes in vs just keeping the disc in an envelope or jewel case? Tough luck to my kids; popcap wouldn’t do anything for me.  They suck and don’t deserve anyone’s money.
