For those with a sense of humor.

I like that the price on Dell was $10B.

The hardmac article is for those with a sense of humor and no imagination. Check out the main Wikipedia article today: I actually like the concept of wife selling.

Not funny! Dell’s market cap is irrelevant. I’d only be happy if Apple was paid $1B or more to put Dell out of its misery.  Currently Dell is engaged in buying enterprise service businesses to fatten them up on the dying carcass of the PC business. But it’s still dying, and the new businesses will never be more than a fraction of the size of the old one. And somehow during this transition, about $15B of supplier accounts payable, long term debt and intangible asset depreciation have to be repaid out of 2 billion operating income. That’s 8 years slog to end up with a business worth maybe $5B. Face it Mikey, you just got very lucky first time; you’ve already withdrawn in cash more than all the profits your company has made since it started. To keep your company on life support like this is just blind vanity.

Just my non-accountant take on a company I have admittedly always hated.
