Macbook Pro Sudden Restart

  • Posted: 03 May 2014 10:22 AM

My Macbook Pro runs Mavericks OS X (10.9.2), it suddenly restarts during normal usage. I’ve done many tests (Resetting NVRAM / PRAM/SMC, Apple Hardware Test, and as it was told in a website, one-time inclusion and exclusion of HDD from Spotlight), and replaced the HDD and RAM of my Macbook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2009) and also installed a clean fresh Mavericks OS X to find the problem, but still no good news. Please help.

Wow… you’ve done everything. “Suddenly” is usually the word that means “hardware.” It could be RAM (which you’ve ruled out), a cable (I’ve seen it), or something non-specific on the motherboard (expensive). At this point it might be worth seeing if Apple will do Flat Rate Repair on it. Probably cost you $300, but will get the issue solved if they’ll agree to do that.
