Longtime readers know that I love toys, especially when they're controlled from my iPhone or iPad. Check out the SmartPlane, a biwing airplane that can be controlled from most iOS devices and some Android devices. It uses Bluetooth LE (Bluetooth Smart) for controlling, and the company said pairing is easy from the custom control app. It works with iphone 4S or newer; iPod touch 5th Gen or newer; iPad 3rd Gen or newer; iPad mini. On the Android side, you need Bluetooth Smart and Android 4.3 or newer. There's a video showing the plane in use, but please don't be that guy that buzzes passersby.
