Virgin America jumped into the gate-to-gate portable electronics use world on Friday. The airline has an extra twist: It's saying travelers can use their PEDs even in when pilots are dealing with more serious flight conditions like limited visibility landings. That leaves just Frontier as the last major airline to announce FAA approval, and there isn't any word yet on when that's coming.
