In October 2013 Blacksmith-Labs out of Canada introduced their first iPhone holsters made from premium quality, hand-stitched leather and metal alloy belt clips. The Bruno is one of three designs available from this company. The case fastens closed with a metal button stud that compliments the metal belt clip. It is constructed from a single piece of leather.

The Lapis blue version has an MSRP of US$119.95. Each version offers in a choice of brushed gold, chrome or gunmetal for the metal alloy belt clip.
Color options - black, chestnut brown, Lapis blue.
Using The Product
My iPhone 5s slips easily into and out of the case. The button stud is easy to fasten and unfasten. I reviewed the chestnut brown case and found the leather to be both supple and rugged. My iPhone was completely protected in this case. However, the phone must be removed from the case for charging or using, but it was a fairly simple process to unbutton the flap and retrieve my phone.
Aside from the quality of the leather, this case presents with the most rugged belt clip I have ever seen. It is large, easy to operate and extremely strong. The clip will accommodate a belt up to 1.5 inches (38 mm) in width.
Blacksmith Labs has gone to some expense to present this case, and it makes and excellent impression when first viewed. The case in seated carefully in a handsome box and covered with black suede cloth.

That box is then encased in a sleeve bearing the name of the company.
Do I Recommend It?
I do. Anyone who is looking for an iPhone 5/5s case that will provide handsome, rugged protection along with an extremely sturdy belt clip should enjoy this case.
