AAPL Tops $172

Appleis stock managed to swing back up to close on Tuesday at US$169.58, and then shot up over $172 in early morning trading on Wednesday. The Mac and iPod makeris stock has climbed over the $170 mark more than once over the past week, but still hasnit managed to close above the $160s.

The companyis stock climbed over $170 to $170.19 in pre-market trading on October 11, and hit $170.13 on October 9.

Appleis market cap is currently sitting at $147.47 billion. In comparison, PC maker Dell has a market cap of $63.70 billion, and is trading closed on Tuesday at $27.85.

Apple is trading in the pre-market at $172.35, up 2.77 (1.63%).
