Acrobat Pro 8.1 Improves Flash Support

Adobe released an updated version of Acrobat Professional on Tuesday with improved Flash support. Acrobat Pro 8.1 added Flash MMP to better handle Adobe Flash files with multimedia content. The update also gained improved communication with Adobe InDesign CS3 as well as several stability improvements.

Adobe Acrobat Pro 8.1 requires Mac OS X 10.4.3 or higher, and is priced at US$449. The update can be downloaded at the Adobe Web site, and is free for version 8 users.

Adobe also released the free PDF reader application Adobe Reader 8.1. It added support for Acrobat 8 3D, FedEx Kinkos Print Online support, security improvements, and several bug fixes. Adobe Reader is available for download at the Adobe Web site.
