Aladdin Systems, Inc. has released a new version of StuffIt Standard, bringing it to version 8.0. StuffIt Standard is a utility bundle designed file compression and transferring. The latest release features several enhancements including improved StuffitX speed and a modified DropStuff UI. According to Aladdin Systems:
Aladdin Systems today announced the availability of StuffIt Standard Edtion(tm) 8.0, following the launch of StuffIt Deluxe 8.0, a new Mac OS X version of the industry-standard access and compression utility.
The new version includes faster compression, DropStuff filters, new access to newsgroup and Windows formats .yenc and .cab, and integrated HTML help.
StuffIt Standard Edition gives users StuffIt Expander(tm), DropStuff(tm), DropZip(tm), and DropTar(tm), to easily create and access email attachments and other compressed files.
