Apple Draws 50% More Visitors To Web Site Than Dell

Internet Retailer, a trade journal geared towards online retailing, has published a short piece saying that Apple had more traffic to its Web site than any other computer vendor, beating #2, Dell, by more than 50%. The figures covered the week before Thanksgiving, suggesting that Apple, iTunes, and the iTunes Music Store (iTMS) have gained momentum heading into the holiday shopping season. From the article:

Apple Computer Inc.?s Apple.com led all computer hardware e-commerce sites with 4.5 million visitors for the week ended Nov. 16, topping Dell Inc.?s Dell.com by 53%, Nielsen/NetRatings reports. Dell posted 2.95 million visitors, followed by Hewlett-Packard Co.?s HPShopping.com with 2.7 million.
