Apple Expo, OS X, Can Not Push Apple To The Top

· by Kyle D\'Addario · News

Even a big week, regarding press attention and announcements, could not move Apple back to the top of the PC Data Top 10 rankings. Holding the top spot is again Compaq, drawing over 1.5 million viewers to their site. Apple Expo 2000, and the much hyped announcement of OS X Beta, did help move Apple into the second spot, nearly 500,000 people behind Compaq. The rest of the Top 10 remained largely unchanged, as HP, Dell, Gateway, IBM, and Intel carried the torch for the computer makers, while Egghead, Outpost, and newcomer CDW all made the list representing computer resellers.
