Apple Hires IBM’s General Counsel

Apple Computer announced on Monday that it has hired Donald J. Rosenberg as senior vice president and general counsel. Mr. Rosenberg comes from IBM where he served as senior vice president and general counsel as well.

Mr. Rosenberg spent over 30 years with IBM serving in various capacities including senior vice president and general counsel of the IBM Corporation; vice president and assistant general counsel for litigation; and counsel to IBMis mainframe division, where he played a key role in formulating the companyis intellectual property protection policy.

He is also experienced with securities, intellectual properties and competition issues, and has interacted with the SEC, U.S. Department of Justice, and the European Economic Commission.
