Apple Introduces Mac Pro RAID Card

· by · News

Apparently Apple wasnit satisfied to release new iMacs and Mac minis on Tuesday, so on Wednesday the company began offering a built-to-order RAID card option for the Mac Pro.

The PCI Express-based expansion card supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 0+1, and JBOD. It includes a 256MB cache and a 72-hour battery to protect the cache in the event of a power outage, and connects to the four internal drive bays in the Mac Pro. It is priced at US$999, and is available now at the Apple Store.
