Apple Offers Widget Developers Download Exposure

· by · News

Apple Computer is offering Dashboard Widget developers the opportunity for exposure. The company posted a submission form for Mac OS X Downloads, a download site for third party Tiger software at Apple.com as part of the ramp up to this monthis World Wide Developeris Conference.

The submission form includes guideline information for software submitted to Apple, and the page noted that Apple is accepting three types of software:

  • Automator Actions
  • Dashboard Widgets
  • Spotlight Plugins

All three are components of Mac OS X 10.4 "Tiger," which was released in April of 2005. You can find more information at the submission Web page.

You can find more information about the World Wide Developeris Conference at the WWDC site.
