Apple Releases Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 2.0

Apple released Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 2.0 on Thursday. The update added support for several new digital cameras and also included a security fix.

New cameras supported with the update include:

  • Hasselblad CFV-16
  • Hasselblad H3D-31
  • Hasselblad H3D-31II
  • Leaf Aptus 54S
  • Leaf Aptus 65S
  • Nikon D60
  • Olympus E-3
  • Pentax *ist DL2
  • Pentax *ist DS2
  • Pentax K100D Super
  • Sony DSLR-A200
  • Sony DSLR-A350

The update also addresses a potential flaw threat that could allow maliciously crafted Adobe Digital Negative files to cause application crashes or arbitrary code execution.

Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 2.0 requires Aperture 2.0 or iPhoto 7.1.2 with iLife Support 8.2. It is free and available via the Software Update application, or as a download from the Apple Support Web site.
