Apple Starts eMac Repair Program

· by · News

Apple recently launched a special repair program for eMacs that are suffering from video and power-related problems. 1GHz and 1.25GHz models sold between April 2004 and June 2005 that exhibit scrambled or distorted video, no video, or fail to power up may be eligible for free repair by Apple, even if the computer is out of warranty.

You can check your serial number to see if it is included in the no-charge repair program. Eligible eMacs include serial numbers that fall in the ranges of:

  • G8412xxxxxx - G8520xxxxxx
  • YM412xxxxxx - YM520xxxxxx
  • VM440xxxxxx - VM516xxxxxx

Additional information is available at the Apple Support Web site.
