A timeline of Appleis key events is available, starting with the introduction of the iPod shuffle at Macworld last January, and leading up to the addition of NBC video programming at the iTunes Music Store (iTMS) in December. Highlights from the TimesLeader article include:

    January 11 Introduction of the iPod shuffle and Mac mini
    February 23 Introduction of the 6GB iPod mini
    April 29 Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) ships
    June 6 Apple announces it will switch from PowerPC processors to Intel processors
    September 7 Introduction of the iPod nano, the iPod mini is dropped
    October 11 video capable iPods introduced, Disney, Pixar and ABC programming added to the iTMS
    December 6 NBC adds programming to the iTMS
