Apple’s Slide Continues

· by Kyle D\'Addario · News

For the third week in a row, Apple continues to slide down the list of the PC Data Top 10 rankings. For the first time in months, the Apple site has drawn less than 900 thousand visitors, and the resulting figure ranks them 4th in the Top 10, well behind Gateway and just ahead of HP. The top two spots were again held by Dell and Compaq. The reason for the large slip in attendance to the Apple site may be due to the post MACWORLD blues. Since there is very little rumor speculation, and people have had weeks to absorb the new product announcements, there may not be as much interest in the site. There were no new faces in the Top 10 this week, with last weekis members simply shuffling positions. Also in the Top 10 were IBM and Intel, and computer resellers Egghead, Outpost, and Googlegear.
