TOLIS Group Inc. on Thursday introduced version 1.2 of its backup software BRU Server. The free upgrade features a new, simplified user interface based on feedback from Mac users, in addition to support for backing up live databases running on Windows clients and the ability to recover from read errors during a restore.
BRU Server is available in Basic, Network and Enterprise versions that sell for US$379, $599 and $2,499, respectively. Each supports 1, 25 and 250 clients, with additional clients available starting at $50 each. BRU Server runs on Mac OS X v10.3 or v10.4 and requires a 500MHz G3 processor (1GHz G4 recommended) and 256MB RAM (512MB recommended).
