Vincent Jalby has released a beta release for iNotePad, bringing it to version 1.6.1. iNotePad is designed to have more features than the Apple NotePad, but with the same simplicity. The update has several new features. According to Vincent Jalby:

Vincent Jalby is pleased to announce the release today of a beta version of iNotePad 1.6.1, a replacement for Appleis NotePad.

iNotePad is the definitive alternative to Appleis NotePad. It has much more features but it keeps the simplicity and ease of use of Appleis Note Pad. It can store styled text notes, save them as text file or clipping, print them,… It can encrypt any note, and use alarm/reminder.

New in this version:

  • "Paste without styles" menu item
  • iPublish uses passive mode (if sets in System preferences)
  • Toolbar button to hide the toolbar (Mac OS X)
  • Support for scrollwheel (Mac OS X)
  • Update several components

You can find more information about the iNotePad release at the Vincent Jalby Web site. iNotePad 1.6.1 is available for US$14.00.
