Canon To Ship FireStore DV Recorders This Month

Canon USA will begin shipping in February new video disc recorders from FOCUS Enhancements, the FireStore FS-4 DTE.

The FS-4 DTE (Direct To Edit) records DV streams directly from prosumer cameras onto the disc system. This negates the timely need to import the video from the DV tapes into a non-linear editing application. The FS-4 recorder is available in 40GB and 80 GB models and feature user defineable time lapse and scene marking.
