ChimeX Update Features Minor Enhancements

· by Mike Washlesky · News

Pariahware has just released an update for ChimeX, bringing it to version 1.3. ChimeX is an alert utility designed for chiming at selected times, like that found in Classic. The update features minor performance enhancements. According to Pariahware:

Pariahware is happy to announce the newest version of itis ChimeX program. ChimeX is a nifty utility that brings hourly chimes to OS X.

New in this version:

  • Separated the single "fifteens" option into "quarter after" and "quarter of" the hour
  • Removed the white background from the music notes on the preferences window
  • Added animation to the music notes when the arrow is hovered over them
  • Tweaked the speech so that "oiclock" sounds more natural
  • The options on the preferences window were put in "chronological" order. ie: On the hour, Quarter After, On the half, and Quarter of

You can find more information about the ChimeX update at the Pariahware Web site. ChimeX 1.2 is available for US$5.00.
