Contextual Menus Get Technical

Selznick Scientific Software has updated TypePopper to version 1.4. TypePopper allows file creation and type codes to be changed via Appleis contexual menus. According to Selznick Scientific Software:

New to version 1.4:
This new version of TypePopper adds many more default file types to its popup menu, including Acrobat, Photoshop, BBEdit, GraphicConverter, Screen Catcher, and more.

TypePopper 1.4 Overview:
TypePopper allows users to easily change type and creator codes of selected files in the Finder.

TypePopper can:

  • "Copy" then "Paste" type and creator codes onto files, thus changing their type and creator.
  • "Copy" creator codes as text for a quick paste into a spreadsheet.
  • Quick change type and creator codes of files from configurable defaults available from its contextual menu.
  • Modify defaults with ResEdit.

TypePopper even sports a safety menu to avoid accidental changing of type and creator codes.
