Corel Painter Essentials 4 Gets New Workspace, More

Corel announced the immediate availability of Corel Painter Essentials 4 on Thursday. The new version of the painting and illustration application added a new workspace that breaks Painter Essentials Drawing & Painting and Photo Painting features into two distinct groups.

The update also added a new Brush Drawer, new Color and Mixer palettes, enhanced the Photo Painting System, added a new Smart Stroke feature for outlining photo objects, added new pens and brushes, and added new tutorials. It also gained 32 Undo levels, added an online print service, and added support for the complete Wacom tablet line.

Corel Painter Essentials 4 is priced at US$99, or $69 for upgrades.
