Corel has released an update for Painter at Macworld this week. Painter 7 is a digital imaging app designed for graphic design and image manipulation. The update ships OS X ready and includes new tinting brushes and tablet support. According to Corel:

An update to procreate™ Painter 7™ is now available free for registered Painter 7 users. Designed with professional customers in mind, this update provides enhancements in three main areas including: Wacom™ tablet support on Mac® OS X, new tinting brushes and water color tutorials.

procreate™ Painter 7 now provides tablet support for customers using Mac OS X. This new tablet support further provides Painter 7 users with exceptionally realistic painting capabilities. When used in conjunction with the Wacom Intuos™ tablet, Painter 7 users benefit from1024 levels of pressure sensitivity as well as tilt and bearing support.

The update for Painter 7 also includes new tinting brushes. Tinting is a layer-based artistic technique in which transparent brush strokes are applied over existing grayscale artwork to add color. New brushes and tutorials are now available to produce professional results quickly and easily.

You can find more information about the Painter 7 update at the Corel Web site. Painter is available for US$479.00.
