DR Group Ships New RAID Xserve Alternative for FCP

The DR Group is now shipping new drives for users of Final Cut Pro. The DRaid line of drives are serial ATA Raid hard drives designed for use with non-linear editors for digital video storage. The drives were developed to be an alternative to Apple Xserve RAID set-ups and feature 320MB/s sustained throughput and with storage sizes up to 3.2 TB.

You can find more information about the DRaid line at the DR Group Web site. The DRaid line of drives is available starting at US$1,230.00 for the 500GB 4-bay drive.
