Redstone Software has announced version 2.0 of Eggplant, the companyis cross-platform testing tool for Mac OS X developers.
Eggplant automates user-experience testing, and can be run on other client machines from a Mac. The companyis Web site says that "any process that a user can perform can be automated from end to end, across multiple applications, even across multiple platforms."
The new version includes several new features, including:
- A new script-debugger
- Autocompletion of commands
- Functions
- Variables and other keywords
- One-click look up of script resources
- Rendezvous support for automatic discovery of potential test machines on a local network
