Digidesign has released an update for Pro Tools, bringing it to version 6.7. Pro Tools is a professional audio production suite designed for musicians and audio engineers. The update features expanded MIDI sequencing capabilities and new tempo based functions.

The company says that the update delivers tempo-dependent audio placement, tempo-dependent automation, graphic tempo editing, precise control of meter changes, MIDI step input, enhanced support for instrument plug-ins, MIDI Detective, and Beat Detective LE.

Digidesign has also brought enhanced MIDI functionality to the Windows version of the product, achieving true cross-platform parity.

You can find more information about the Pro Tools update at the Digidesign Web site. The update is free for users of Pro ToolsHD and HD Accel running Pro Tools TDM 6.4 or higher. Registered users of other versions can update for US$75.00.
