FLASH: Apple reports Earnings

Apple just reported 4th quarter earnings of $0.30 per share, investors had been warned to expect earnings of $0.31 per share. Revenues for the quarter came in at $1.87 billion, slightly better than warned as expected. In August, consensus was for Apple to see revenues of $2.0 billion in the fourth quarter.

AAPL is trading as low as $18 per share in after hour markets.

On September 28th, Fred Anderson, Apple CFO, warned that sales for the Fourth quarter would not meet forecasts and he lowered earning per share expectation from $0.45 to $0.31.

Apple will provide live audio streaming of its fiscal year 2000 and fourth quarter results conference call via QuickTime on at 2 PM PDT today.
