Fastmac on Thursday slashed the prices of its 1.1GHz to 1.5GHz Power Mac G4 upgrades, all of which feature 256Kb of 1:1 L2 cache and 2MB of L3 cache, along with an integrated heat sink. Prices are now US$229.95 for 1.1GHz, $249.95 for 1.2GHz, $289.95 for 1.4GHz (with a 1.467GHz upgrade available for $10 more) and $349.95 for 1.5GHz.
The upgrades are compatible with the following Power Mac G4 models: AGP Graphics (Sawtooth), Gigabit Ethernet, Digital Audio and Quicksilver. They work with Mac OS 9 and all versions of Mac OS X.
