Final Cut Express HD 3.5 Gets Intel Mac Support, More

Apple announced the immediate availability of Final Cut Express HD 3.5 on Thursday. The updated version of the video editing application is now Universal Binary, supporting both PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. It also adds support for real-time playback of multi-stream effects, and includes updated versions of Soundtrack and LiveType.

Soundtrack 1.5 is an audio production and music creation application that includes over 4,000 professional-quality instrument loops and sound effects. The new version includes improved multitrack audio editing and recording tools, real-time effects processing, and more. LiveType 2.1 is an animated text and title generator. The updated version includes new animated objects, textures, and 60 new customizable preset effects.

FinalCut Express HD 3.5 is priced at US$299, and upgrades are $99.
