Freecom Debuts 1GB Credit Card-Size Flash Card

Freecom Technologies Inc. has introduced the USBCard Pro, a credit card-sized flash storage drive housed in a magnesium alloy case.

The small card is shipping now in 256 megabyte (MB), 512 MB and 1 gigabyte sizes. The device has an average data transfer rate of 15 MBper second reading and 11MB per second writing. It is compatible with Mac OS X and Mac OS 9.1 or higher, and works with Linux and Windows platforms as well.

The 256MB version retails for US$149.99, the 512MB model for $269.00, and the 1GB version for $429.00.
