Gefen Announces Wireless USB Extender

Gefen announced its new Wireless USB Extender on Wednesday. The extender uses 3.5GHz ultra-wideband technology to connect your Mac wirelessly to a special 4-port USB hub up to 30 feet away. Gefen claims the wireless USB hub supports data transfer rates up to 400Mbps and works with both USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 devices. The Wireless USB Extender should start shipping in January, and will be priced at US$249.
