Gefen DVI and Audio Extender

Gefen announced the immediate availability of the DVI Audio Extender on Tuesday. The DVI Audio Extender includes DVI video, S/PDIF, optical TOSlink, left and right analog RCA audio inputs and outputs that drive multiple audio devices at the same time, and supports 1080p HDTV. It transmits the signals up to 150 over a standard CAT5 Ethernet cable, and averages 12.8 Mb/s data transfer rates. The DVI Audio Extender is available from the Gefen Web site, and is priced at US$649.
