publicspace.net is now shipping MacBreakZ version 3.0. MacBreakZ is a ergonomic diagnostic app designed to prevent fatigue and repetition injuries commonly found when working with a keyboard and mouse. The new version now has OS X support in addition to the standard features. According to publicspace.net:

publicspace.net is pleased to announce the release of version 3.0 of "MacBreakZ!".

MacBreakZ! is a personal ergonomic assistant which monitors your keyboard and mouse activity and helps you structure your computer use in a healthy manner which prevents computer-related injuries from developing.

MacBreakZ! achieves this by:

  • monitoring user activity and suggesting appropriate times for rest and recovery breaks
  • providing a range of stretching exercises designed to relieve muscular tension and improve static posture
  • providing ergonomic information on how to use your computer in a healthy manner

Version 3.0 brings the unique capabilities of MacBreakZ! to Mac OS X. The new version is currently only available on Mac OS X, a Mac OS 9 version will follow in January 2002. Version 2.8 for Mac OS 9 is still available from our website.
