Glucose Releases Maintenance Update For WeatherPop

Glucose has released an update for WeatherPop and WeatherPop Advance, bringing them to version 1.8.5. WeatherPop is an automatic weather reminder designed to refresh current weather conditions directly to a users menu bar. The maintenance update features improved speed and bug fixes. According to Glucose:

Glucose today updated WeatherPop and WeatherPop Advance to version 1.8.5.

WeatherPop Advance 1.8.5 has been comprehensively optimized, resulting in greatly reduced CPU usage and up to 50% faster response time while updating weather information or searching for a location. Broadband internet is required to experience the greatest speedup. We believe this will be especially appreciated by users with multiple favorites.

The new release also fixes the my.aol.com weather source, which had stopped working correctly in 1.8.2. We have also enhanced the accuracy of the usatoday.com source -- users with previous versions had could get mixed up locations while searching for a new city.

You can find more information about the WeatherPop update at the Glucose Web site. WeatherPop 1.8.5 is available as freeware.
