Grammy Voters to Listen to Nominees Via iTunes, Recording Academy Says

The Recording Academy has announced those voting on nominated songs for the 47th Annual Grammy Awards will be able to listen to selected cuts free through the iTunes Music Store.

Recording Academy president Neil Portnow made the announcement at last weeks Grammy nominations press conference. Various reports are contradictory and it is unclear if all the nominated songs will be available for voters to download or not.

Previously, votings members of the Recording Academy had to visit a chapter office to listen to the nominated songs.

The 47th Annual Grammy Awards will be presented in Los Angeles at STAPLES Center on February 13, 2005. The show will be broadcast on the CBS Television Network from 8 to 11:30 p.m. ESTmarking the 32nd consecutive year the show will air on CBS.
