HP Releases More Mac OS X Drivers, Outlines Future OS X Plans

· by Kyle D\'Addario · News

Hewlett-Packard has released a set of drivers for OS X offering basic functionality for their 1000/1200 series of PhotoSmart printers. As The Mac Observer reported last month, the new drivers offer basic temporary functionality until HP can develop full-featured drivers for release later this year.

HP has actually posted a document outlining their plans for supporting OS X. The company has released a set of drivers providing OS X functionality to many of the LaserJet series of printers, and plans on continuing work on OS X drivers for the PhotoSmart and G Series all-in-one printers.

You can find more information, including download links for the new PhotoSmart drivers, at the Hewlett-Packard Web site.
