· by Mike Washlesky · News

Princeton Satellite Systems, Inc. has released an update for MultiSatSim, bringing it to version 1.2. MultiSatSim is an app used by the aerospace industry for simulating the attitude, orbit, and power system dynamics of multiple spacecraft. The update features new variable models and enhanced controls. According to Princeton Satellite Systems:

Princeton Satellite Systems Inc. announced today that MultiSatSim v1.2 is now available.

MultiSatSim simulates the attitude, orbit and power system dynamics for multiple spacecraft anywhere in the solar system. It includes highly accurate dynamics models, OpenGL graphics, a TCP/IP interface and a modular architecture that allows easy expansion by the customer. It is the only commercially available spacecraft simulation with these capabilities.

New features include an aerodynamics model employing surface accommodation coefficients, the Jacchia atmospheric density model with a built-in solar flux model, nuclear electric power generation models, enhanced control over the simulation, improved plot output and many other new features.

You can find more information about the MultiSatSim update at the Princeton Satellite Systems, Inc. Web site. MultiSatSim 1.2 is available for US$29,995.00.
