If Then Software Releases IDIot 1.0

If Then Software has released IDIot 1.0 for Mac OS X 10.2. IDIot is a software package that will produce disk images (IDI) that makes downloading and installing software easy for the average user. IDIot is built with AppleScript Studio. From If Then:

If you distribute your Mac OS X software electronically, use an internet-enabled disk image (IDI) which "cleans up" after itself leaving behind only the desired software and nothing else related to the download process. Great for developers and system admins! Convert existing read-only disk images to the new internet disk image format, or disable the feature from current internet disk images. Upon download of the new IDI formatted disk utility, it will remove all traces of the "shell" that the software comes in and simply place the software on the desktop--much less confusing for the average user.

IDIot 1.0 is available now (direct download link) from If Then Softwareis Web site. The software is offered as donationware: If you like it, make a donation to the company.
