Inventive, Inc. has released an update for iClip, bringing it to version 2.8. iClip is a clipboard utility designed to expand the basic feature set of the standard Mac clipboard. The update features improved high-res image support and drag-and-drop enhancements. According to Inventive:
Inventive, Inc. announces the release of iClip version 2.8 productivity software for Apple Macintosh computers with OS X. iClip is a multiple clipboard/scrapbook application designed to improve user efficiency and productivity for many computing tasks.
iClip works as a small window that floats above all other applications, allowing easy access to multiple bins that store clippings that users place into them. Clippings can be text, pictures, URLS, sounds, etc. iClip helps eliminate redundant typing, especially in tasks like filling out online forms. iClip allows users to arrange clippings into groups to stay organized.
New in version 2.8 is significantly improved handling of vector and high-resolution picture clippings. This change mainly affects users who store clippings from Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop and later move them to other applications. This update also features enhanced drag & drop usability.
You can find more information about the iClip update at the Inventive, Inc. Web site. iClip 2.8 is free for registered users, while the full version is available for US$19.95.
