· by Brad Gibson · News

Iogear Inc. announced Monday the Pocket Card Reader, a plam-size, USB 2.0 device featuring a MultiMedia Card (MMC) and Secure Digital Card (SD) reader.

The inexpensive, PC- and Mac-compatible drive is specifically designed for digital cameras, but is also ideal for using with Palmtop PCs, Handheld PCs, PDAs and Voice Recorders. Being a USB 2.0 device, the Pocket Card Reader (see photo below) makes transferring photos much faster than many digital cameras with speeds up to 480 Megabits per second.

The Pocket Card Reader retails for US$14.95.
